DYN files contain simulating diffraction
amplitudes and phases from dynamical electron diffraction. When a DYN file,
such as that on the right, is openned by VEC in graphic
mode, the simulating dynamical electron diffraction pattern will be
displayed as below.

An FDY file consists of a number of DYN files, which correspond to
different sample thickness, but for all other conditions they are the same. |
